Showing Up Where It Matters: Juneteenth ATL 2026

The Juneteenth ATL Parade & Music Festival is a vibrant, three-day celebration of freedom, culture, and community held in the heart of Atlanta. This year, our team partnered with Sanofi to engage directly with attendees and expand awareness of clinical research through approachable, in-person conversations.

Gaps in clinical trial representation persist, particularly among communities of color where access has historically been limited. Events like Juneteenth ATL help bridge that gap—creating space for open dialogue, building trust, and meeting people where they are.

Throughout the weekend, these conversations translated into meaningful engagement, as the team answered questions, addressed concerns, and helped individuals navigate clinical research on their own terms. In total, this outreach results in:

  • 450+ engaged attendees
  • 80+ individuals interested in participating in clinical research

What makes this kind of engagement possible is the people behind it. Our clinical teams are rooted in the communities they serve, bringing a level of familiarity, trust, and accountability that carries through every interaction. These numbers reflect more than interest: they represent meaningful moments of conversation, education, and connection.

Through these interactions, we’re not just sharing information. We’re helping create pathways to health screening, education, clinical research, and broader healthcare access. It’s at this intersection that we can improve outcomes and elevate the communities we serve. When we come together in these spaces, we all grow together.

As one Sanofi team member shared:

Events like Juneteenth ATL are one of the many ways our teams continue to show up in the communities we serve—building relationships that extend far beyond a single weekend.
