Honoring Cancer Survivors: This Month and Always

Every June, National Cancer Survivor Month invites us to celebrate resilience, honor survivorship, and recognize the ongoing needs of millions of people living with and beyond cancer. Today, more than 18 million individuals in the United States are navigating life after diagnosis—each with a unique journey shaped by treatment, recovery, and long-term care needs.

Advancing Survivorship Through Access

We believe progress in cancer care depends on access—access to research, to innovative therapies, and to care that reaches patients wherever they are. Clinical trials remain one of the most powerful drivers of new treatments, yet too many patients face barriers to participation based on geography, mobility, or awareness.

By bringing clinical research directly into communities, EmVenio is helping close that gap—expanding access to oncology trials and ensuring more patients have the opportunity to participate in the studies shaping the future of cancer care. This work is essential to improving outcomes and advancing equity across the cancer continuum.

Leadership Driving Impact

At the center of this commitment is EmVenio President Greg Austin, whose leadership reflects the power of partnership in advancing cancer care and survivorship.

Through his work with the American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer initiative, including leadership at the regional level, Greg collaborates with other executives to elevate awareness, fund critical research, and drive meaningful action in the fight against cancer.

This partnership reinforces our broader mission: to expand access, accelerate innovation, and create stronger pathways for patients to connect with life-changing care and research opportunities.

Supporting Survivors Beyond Treatment

Cancer survivorship doesn’t end when treatment concludes. Many survivors face lasting physical, emotional, and logistical challenges long after diagnosis—highlighting the need for continued support, connection, and care.

Expanding access to clinical research is one way to support survivors today while building better options for tomorrow. Every patient who participates in research contributes to a deeper understanding of cancer—and helps shape more effective, personalized treatments for future generations.

Celebrating Strength, Advancing the Future

Cancer Survivor Month is not only a time for recognition—it’s a call to continue advancing what’s possible.

Through leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to reaching more patients, we are working to ensure that cancer care doesn’t stop at innovation—it extends to access, equity, and real-world impact.

Because survivorship is not just about living—it’s about living well, with better options, stronger support, and greater reach for all.
