EmVenio builds personal connections at community kidney walks

Community connection and trust are major components of any successful clinical trial. At EmVenio, we focus on building genuine, lasting relationships in the communities we serve – bridging the gap between people and science.  Our teams create these connections through approachable conversations with community members and intentional partnerships with local leaders and public health advocates.

Recently, our team participated in kidney walks in Atlanta, Kansas City, and Dallas to raise awareness about kidney health and share how we’re improving access to clinical research.

Our presence at each walk included Certified Mobile Research Clinicians, site staff, and team members from clinician assignment, recruitment, fleet, marketing, and project management. Together, they welcomed community members, answered questions, and explained how clinical research supports long-term health outcomes and how community-based research makes clinical trial participation more accessible.

Our Certified Mobile Research Clinicians played a key role by meeting attendees one-on-one, explaining how clinical studies work and sharing details about EmVenio’s mobile visits, site network, and upcoming research opportunities – helping raise awareness about research and how it fits into everyday care.

Across all three cities, the kidney walks showcased how community engagement and teamwork create meaningful impact. We connected attendees to A1C testing, health screenings, and our clinic database, helping them stay informed about future research opportunities. Here are some standout moments:

Dallas

The event drew an enthusiastic crowd eager to take part in screenings and learn more about clinical research opportunities.  Highlights include:

  • 33 participants completed on-site A1C testing.
  • 85 new individuals joined our database.
  • Many expressed interest in future research events.

Kansas City

  • 182 attendees visited the EmVenio booth.
  • 11 participants completed on-site A1C testing.
  • 13 new individuals joined our database.
  • 4 participants signed up for future health screenings.

Atlanta

The Atlanta walk fostered lasting connections with attendees and community leaders, opening doors for future collaboration. Highlights include:

  • 335 attendees visited the EmVenio booth.
  • 24 participants completed on-site A1C testing.
  • 54 new individuals joined our database.
  • 4 participants signed up for future health screenings.
  • New partnerships formed with community leaders to expand access to research.

We’re grateful to everyone who made these events possible - from EmVenio team members who worked behind the scenes to those engaging at the booth, and to all the community members who showed up to support kidney health. It’s inspiring to see our mission come to life in the community and create opportunities for education and connection.
